At Posed & Pretty, we use under-eye filler to erase the tired look of hollow "tear troughs" and restore a refreshed, well-rested appearance. As a specialist with over 5 years of experience, I focus on the delicate infraorbital area to smooth the transition between the eye and the cheek. This treatment is ideal for softening deep shadows, diminishing the look of dark circles caused by volume loss, and reviving a bright, youthful gaze.
- Mid-Face Integration
A beautiful under-eye result isn't just about filling a hole—it’s about the "OG curve." I focus on the transition where the lower eyelid meets the upper cheek, ensuring a seamless blend that eliminates the harsh line of a tear trough. By supporting the mid-face architecture, we create a smooth, continuous surface that reflects light evenly, removing the shadows that make you look fatigued even when you're fully rested.
- Micro-Layering & Precision
The skin beneath the eyes is the thinnest on the body, which is why I utilize a conservative, micro-layering technique. By placing small, precise amounts of specialized, light-reflecting filler deep beneath the muscle and against the bone, I prevent the "Tyndall effect" (a blueish tint) and unwanted puffiness. This meticulous approach ensures the area remains flat and natural-looking, even when you smile or squint.
- Collaborative Refinement
Because the eyes are the most expressive part of your face, I believe in a "less is more" philosophy driven by your feedback. During the procedure, I encourage you to hold the mirror in your lap and view the results as we go, so that we can evaluate the volume from multiple angles and in different lighting. This collaborative process allows us to build the volume incrementally, ensuring your results are subtle, sophisticated, and perfectly tailored to your unique anatomy.

What to Expect:
Process We use a soft, cohesive filler specifically designed for the delicate tear trough area. To ensure maximum safety and minimize bruising, I primarily utilize a micro-cannula technique. This allows me to glide beneath the skin through a single entry point, placing the product precisely where volume is lacking. The treatment typically takes 30–45 minutes, and the filler contains lidocaine to ensure a comfortable, nearly painless experience.
Downtime The under-eye area is highly vascular, so minor swelling or "puffiness" is normal for the first 3–7 days. While bruising is rare with our cannula technique, it can occur; we recommend avoiding blood thinners like aspirin or caffeine 24 hours prior. Most clients return to work immediately, though you should skip the gym and heavy salt intake for the first 24–48 hours to keep swelling to a minimum.
Results You will see an immediate "brightening" effect as the hollows are lifted. However, the final result happens at the 14-day mark, once the filler has fully hydrated and integrated with your tissues. At this point, the skin looks smoother, the shadows are diminished, and you’ll look like you’ve had the best eight hours of sleep of your life.
Longevity Under-eye filler is surprisingly long-lasting, typically refreshing your look for up to
12 months. Because the tear trough is a "low-movement" area of the face, the filler breaks down very slowly. Many clients find they need less product during their maintenance "tweak-ments" to maintain that bright-eyed, rested glow.
