Precision. Softness. Perfection.

At Posed & Pretty, we treat the trapezius muscles to achieve both aesthetic contouring and functional relief. By relaxing the upper portion of the "traps"—the large muscles that connect the neck to the shoulders—we can create a slimmer, more elongated neck profile and reduce chronic shoulder tension.

  • Shoulder Contouring & Slimming

Overdeveloped trapezius muscles can create a bulky or "squared-off" appearance at the base of the neck. By relaxing these muscles with neurotoxin, they gradually decrease in mass, resulting in a smoother, more tapered shoulder line and the appearance of a longer, more slender neck.

  • Tension & Pain Decompression

Many clients carry significant stress and tension in their traps, leading to "heavy" shoulders and tension headaches. We target the most active trigger points to interrupt the constant muscle contraction, providing significant relief from chronic tightness and discomfort.

  • Posture Realignment

By softening the hyperactive upper trapezius muscles, we help reduce the "hunching" effect often caused by desk work or stress. This allows the lower stabilizing muscles to engage more effectively, promoting a more upright and relaxed postural stance.

What to Expect:

Process

The treatment involves a series of injections into the bulky part of the upper trapezius muscle on each side. Because the muscle is large, the process takes about 10–15 minutes. While the needle is fine, you may feel a deep pressure during the injection. Numbing cream is available.

Downtime

There is no downtime. You may experience a mild "heavy" or tired sensation in the shoulders for a few days as the muscles begin to relax. We recommend avoiding heavy lifting or intense shoulder workouts for 48 hours.

Results

Relief from muscle tension typically begins within 1–2 weeks. The aesthetic slimming effect takes longer—usually 4–6 weeks—as it takes time for the muscle to physically lean out after its workload has been reduced.

Longevity

Because the trapezius is a large muscle group, results generally last 4–6 months. Regular treatments every few months can help maintain the slimmed silhouette and keep chronic tension at bay.
